Robert (Bob) W. Walsh passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024. He was 82 years old. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late William R. and Barbara (Wilson) Walsh.

He was the beloved husband to Marilyn (Morgillo) Walsh. He was the devoted brother of David Walsh and his wife Betty of Medford and the late Patricia Horner of Boxford. Cherished uncle of Christian Walsh and his fiancé Rachel, Kasey Edwards and Christopher Edwards, Justin Horner, Matthew Horner and Robbie Horner and his fiancé, Maria. Dear great uncle of Davis, Robbie and Dylan.

Bob attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology and received his architectural degree from Arizona State University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Bob was an avid golfer and on sunny days you could often find him enjoying the back nine of his favorite course. Bob enjoyed his time at the beach with family and friends, especially Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea and Wrights Pond in Medford. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife, Marilyn, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, devoted family members, many loyal friends and his faithful kitty companion, Violet.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Saturday, September 7th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with Words of Remembrance beginning at 12:30PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Bobby has always been very dear to me.
His easy manner, his ability to get me laughing and also to cause David (his brother) and I to argue and then he would walk out the door with a smile on his face. Trouble maker but we loved him.
He will be missed by his wife and many but especially his nephews and niece. Uncle Bob was the best.!!! Love you Bob and don’t cause any trouble wherever and we will catch up to you someday.
Love, Betty
