Robert Gus Weete, 86, of Avondale, AZ passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2022.

Bob was born on February 8th, 1935, in Hot Springs, NM. He grew up in Globe, AZ, where he graduated from Globe High. Upon graduating high school, he attended a music school in Chicago. Bob later served his country for three years in the Marine Corps. On completion of his military service, he attended Arizona State University and began his teaching career.

Bob lived most of his life in Blythe, CA, a town he dearly loved. He worked as an English teacher for over 40 years and enjoyed many activities such as: playing the organ in church, quilting, cooking, writing for the local newspaper and spending time with his family. Bob will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Anne and his daughter Leslie.

He is survived by his sons Mark Weete, Andrew Weete and two grandchildren, Micah and Noah Weete and his sisters Kathy, Betsy and Anne, as well as nephews, and nieces. Services will be held at Frye Chapel, 633 N. 7th St, Blythe, CA at on Friday, March 11th at 1 pm.
