Not sure what to say?

Bob was a great consultant, mentor, and business partner. Along with Dan and Susan, they taught me to be a consultant, expert witness, and business owner. Bob was thoughtful, funny, and cared deeply about issues and people. I will miss him. For those that were unable to attend the Celebration of Life, here is a video of part of it: https://tinyurl.com/upmx37s3 Here is a slideshow that was shown at the Celebration of Life: https://tinyurl.com/pcjx7z7t RIP, Bob.

So sorry to hear of Robbie´s passing. I went to grade school with him. Even back then, he was super smart and quiet, but when he had something to say, it was worth listening to. I am glad he was able to use his intelligence to such great good!

Bob's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, 11am-2pm at the Berkeley City Club. 2315 Durant Avenue, Berkeley. If you are able to attend, please rsvp to: [email protected]. Please let others know.

I am so shocked to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was head of a group of--how do I describe us --odd-balls???-- at the Energy Commission that I got assigned to in my first "real," non-political job. I called our big office the Romper Room--with Grace Anderson, Bill Marcus and Stan (ack! I can't remember his last name!). We had so much fun and worked so hard and produced an amazing amount of analysis, under his leadership. Bob and I shared a complete fascination of sea otters and for years,...

Bob was an aspirational figure and a good friend and colleague at the Energy Commission. I enjoyed working with him and appreciate his many accomplishments. We once talked about each other´s legacy. His family can be very proud of all of Bob´s accomplishments. He will live on through these for many years to come.

The "Bob Squad" at CEC. Loved his infectious laugh!

Bob was kind. When my elderly parents were having a bit of difficulty handling their baggage at the Oslo airport in the late 1980s, out of the blue, Bob stepped in to help, noticed the name tags, and asked if they were related to me. And my parents were quick to let me know what a great person he was.

I met Bob in 2014 when he came to México as head of the CEC with a large California delegation to exchange perspectives and information for an ongoing energy reform in México. Great guy!!

Bob had finished his Energy and Resources degree at UC Berkeley when I became a student there at the beginning of the 1980s. I had the good fortune to meet and chat with him a couple of times, and what struck me most was his kindness and humility.
