I was fortunate enough to attend UAH when Dr. Welker was teaching. His Shakespeare class was wonderful. He had a unique way of making the class interesting. I shall treasure my memories of him and feel fortunate to have known him.

Dr. Welker was one of the greatest influences from my college days, and he imparted a lot of wisdom which still informs my life. Throughout the rest of his days, he remained kind, gracious, and fun. I enjoyed and treasure every visit with him over the years.
