Dr. Robert L. Welker

Shakespeare classes will never be the same without Dr. Welker. You did a good job, Sir!

I was fortunate enough to attend UAH when Dr. Welker was teaching. His Shakespeare class was wonderful. He had a unique way of making the class interesting. I shall treasure my memories of him and feel fortunate to have known him.

Dr. Welker was one of the greatest influences from my college days, and he imparted a lot of wisdom which still informs my life. Throughout the rest of his days, he remained kind, gracious, and fun. I enjoyed and treasure every visit with him over the years. Even in the most recent times--when his health did not permit him to be fully the person we'd known--he not only continued to engage others with love and kindness, but also he expressed himself beautifully through his drawings.
