Mr. Werner's son was/is my best friend. Mr. Werner used to take us to the Cal games. I am sure that he is now somehwere, cruising around in his Model A and rooting for the Bears.

I was in Mr. Werner's German class in 1968. He made learning another language interesting and we actually had fun. It paid off when I went to Germany. Thank you Mr. Werner

Herr Werner was my German teacher for 3 years at Montgomery High (1982-1985). How he put up with all those crazy teenagers for so long is truly inspirational. I will never forgot how much he loved his Cal Bears---especially when he came to school Monday in 1982 after "The Play" when Cal beat Stanford. He couldn't stop grinning.
Ich habe gute Erinnerungen. Tut mir Leid dass gestorben ist.

I also had Mr. Werner for German class for two years. His trips to the Black Forest Inn were legendary. What that man put up with. A great teacher and a great man. -Tim S. Turner

I had Mr. Werner for three years at Montgomery from 1966 to 1969 for German. I also did a year as a TA with him. A very good guy. I remember the trouble he took to take the German II class to the Black Forest Inn in Rincon Valley. Good times. He will be missed.
