Dr. Robert Lee West

I knew Lee West since the time I was 10 years old. My family and I remained friends with him for decades. He taught me in medical school, in my Pathology residency and then we were colleagues on faculty for 6 years. He was a kind, gentle, and caring man with a wicked sense of humor!! I will really miss him.

I worked with Dr West as a student and faculty at ECU SOM. I depended on his wisdom daily, have wonderful memories of our support for the Tarheels, and have a wonderful photo of his on my walk- one of his many light house shots! He was a brilliant mind, and a kind soul. I will remember him always! Prayers for the family, and all who loved him.
