Robert Emmons "Ike" Westfall

This is so sad. I loved hearing him read his poems to me.

Please accept my most sincere condolences at Ike's passing. He was a very fine friend and educator to many of us at EMU during the late 60's and early 70's.

We used to play handball regularly and could never beat him. He would come our U of M Rugby Club matches and encourage us to stay fit and heady.

Harley and I became good friends as well through Rugby and he and Ike would dredge the lake with some of us.

He is a very fond bright spot in my life and I wish that I was...

My dad, Joe Fortunato, played handball with Ike. I remember Dad coming homing and telling handball stories about the two of them at the YMCA. They loved competition.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I Pray that God gives each of you the Peace and Comfort you each shall need at this time.Ike always spoke of his children and grand children. He will be missed by so many. RIP Ike.

Ike was one of a kind...always smiling. Ike always had time to chat with you no matter how busy he was.

Ike will be remembered in so many wonderful ways and I am so blessed to have known him!!
