Fr. Wilson was truly an inspirational pastor. The power of prayer was evident in his life and he encouraged lay people to strive to become the people of God they all were meant to be. Scriptures were not merely read but truly he did aspire to live by them.

He was great like many priests, but he had a way of making you feel like he was your priest. I moved to Aledo in July 2006 when I first attended Holy Redeemer. Having the children come up and role play the homily is such a great tradition. When he blessed my house he made me feel like everything would be ok and just believe in Christ. My daughter and I will miss you Father Bob, temporarily, until we might be as good a person as you and see you again with our Father.

I admired your spirit and how you brought humor into the Gospel! A true jewel in Christ's crown. Not many have the gift of making God's word relatable. You will be missed!

Our journey with Father Wilson (Father Bob to us) started back in April 1978 at St. John's in North Richland Hills. We moved here from Wisconsin. Our two children made their first communion with him. Then we moved to different areas and was reunited with him here in Willow Park, going to morning masses. Father Bob was a wonderful, caring individual and always had time to talk. He will be greatly missed but always in our prayers.
God Bless his family members.

Fr.Bob always made me smile when he saw me, because he called me Mother Martha. The Ladies Guild was once called the Marthas. I was president, for one year & also was a part of the Matha's for many years. I remember one time in particular that I was really stuggling with something & I went to Fr. Bob. Even though he was a man & I a woman, he understood & helped me through it. I had hoped that if I would die before Fr. Bob that he would do my funeral. God had other plans. Fr. Bob was with St...
