Curran-Jones Funeral Home - Agawam Obituary

Robert J. Wodell, 73, in the comfort of his home entered his Heavenly Home on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Born in Springfield, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Suffriti) Wodell, “Bob” was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a 1971 graduate of Agawam High School.  He owned and operated Wodell’s Used Cars and later worked many years as a Millwright before retiring.  Bob contributed to many local church Christian ministries: Bus Ministry, mission trips, and serving on past church boards. Bob always made himself available for family, friends, and community. His greatest joy was his family and his faith in Jesus. Bob enjoyed trains, baseball, and working on heavy equipment.  Bob is known for his memorable storytelling and unique nicknames for his friends. He received his associate degree in engineering from Springfield Technical Community College. Bob leaves his wife and best friend of forty-three years, Patricia R. (Morisset) Wodell, a son, Alexander Wodell of Brockton, a daughter, Emily J. Wodell of Mechanicsville, VA, a sister, Linda Zaza of Ormond Beach, FL, two nephews, Malek Zaza, Ramze Zaza and many cousins.  Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be announced at a later date. For online condolences, please visit www.curranjones.com

“Bona” was one of the best. Kind and caring about others was one of his many great qualities. So glad I got to spend time with him a few weeks ago, he was so happy! I will miss him and his silliness for ever
