Not sure what to say?

Dearest Patti, Reading about your Father's life and seeing his picture engenders memories of the vibrancy , music, stirring intellectual conversation, urgency toward excellence ; ever present in your home, in Milledgeville, just across from Georgia College campus. Your father was somewhat calm, retiring. You Patti, his joy, pride, the miracle of your Mother and Father. Both your parents advocates of education, language, travel. Strong persistent insistent. May God ever Bless you Patti...

I am a former student from Georgia College who would like to extend Sincere condolences to the Family. Dr. Wolfersteig was a wonderful teacher.

Dear Mrs Wolfersteig and Patty, I want to extend my sympathy on the first anniversary of the crossing over of Dr Wolfersteig. I have searched but so far unable to contact you directly . The legacy of Dr Wolfersteig and your legacy, Mrs Wolfersteig is beyond words. My gratitude to you both is immense for your gift of mentorship; to me and entire communities, everyone and everywhere you touch is blessed.

When I was a student at Georgia College I was Dr. Wolfersteig's assistant secretary in the Music Department on the work student program. I spent many happy hours working for him. Numerous times he would invite me in his office to listen to him play his harpsichord. I hold those memories near to my heart. He was an amazing, talented man with a very big heart. My famiy is praying for your family.

I was a music major and sang in the chorus the first year that Dr. Wolfersteig was at The Woman's College of Georgia. I will never forget the last concert that I sang under his direction on tour in New Jersey. I saw him and Eloise many years later when I was the President of the Gainesville Music club. Warm memories...

So sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Wolfersteig... I remember him from so many points and places in Milledgeville and at Georgia College. Such a gifted person. One memory is his coaching me for a solo in Brigadoon where he pulled me aside and made me hold a chair while singing to strengthen my breath control. When I was able to catch my breath after the fear that I was in trouble...it was an immediate teachable moment. He truly helped me find my voice in music - both literally and...

Mrs. Wolfersteig- I wanted to send my sympathy to you in the passing of Dr. Wolfersteig. I am thankful that you both were a part of my life as a young girl in Hayesville during the gifted classes. You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I will never forget working on "The Wind in the Willows" with Bob...I will miss him a lot.

Grace and Peace Eloise & Family,
Dr. Wolfersteig added much to the cultural life of our area. His departure creates a hole in the heart of all who admired him and called him friend, and a void in our communities.
He and his music resides in our fondest memories and now resides with the ages. May you know God's blessings today.
