Not sure what to say?

Although it has been several years since Bobby has been with us, I still think of him as I drive around Sunset Road and remember him riding his old bike around talking to those he met. He was was so proud of his garden of flowers and vegetables and often shared some to those who visited him. The neighborhood isn't the same without him.

Although I have moved from the area where I had a very nice relationship with Bobby and his family, I still remember the visits we had back and forth, the sharing of birthdays with neighbors, receiving gifts of produce from his backyard garden, and waving as he rode past my house on his bicycle. He's one man we can never forget!

Mr. Wollaston was my landlord for about a year and what a gregarious, warm, and charming man. He always had a story or a joke and responded well to my constant teasing about how I was sure to be late with my rent the following month (he knew I never was). A great man who cared about his home, his family, and his community. I will always have warm thoughts. Godspeed Sir...

Dear Family,

I was saddened to learn of the loss of your dear Bob. He was the last of the legends and represented a true spirit with courage and compassion. It was a pleasure to share in his care over the years. I only hope the wonderful memories will comfort you during this period of loss. With sincere sympathy.

I had the great honor of getting to know Mr.Bob for a few years as I rented his place. He is an incredibly kind, tenacious and caring person. He deeply cared about his house and touched the lives of so many people like myself with his big heart, open mind and pleasant smile. I will forever remember the times I spent with him, doing yardwork or listening to stories in the garden. Mr. Bob - I will never forget the times I shared with you and will deeply miss you, May you rest in peace ! My...

I had the privilege of getting to know Bobby this past year. He was a proud and caring man who loved his family deeply. I enjoyed sitting with him by the fire and listening to all his stories and funny tales. He was a great rummy player and we had many laughs! Victoria, Linda, Rich and family - you are all in my prayers. I want to thank you for letting me share in his life. In was an honor getting to know this great man!

To Linda, Rich & Family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father and grandfather. I did not know him personally but her sounds like he was a remarkable man. Prayers are with you in this loss and my favorite sentiment is that Earths loss in Heavens gain. In Deepest Sympathy, Lynn Moorefield (fellow Numc member)

Bobby was an icon, and I cannot imagine the city of Newark without him, much less Indian Road. Condolences to Linda, Rick and Victoria. Proof of Bobby's excellence as a father was the unfailing care with which they attended him these last years. I very much regret missing the service and the chance to say good bye to my admirable neighbor, as I am in Chicago. I will be thinking of you all on Tuesday, and wishing Bobby a good exit.
