Read MoreMr. Zabel was my math teacher at Ynez School in Monterey Park for 7th and 8th grade and he was terrific. He got excited about the annual math competition among schools in the Alhambra School District and encouraged his students to participants. He was a great motivator for learning and being a caring person.

Mr.Zabel was my homeroom teacher in the 7th grade at ynez and My basketball coach at Mark Keppel high school what a great teacher and Coach he was but even a better person. Thank you for all the life lessons and I will never forget those after school night you stay much later than you needed too after practice so I understand my math assignment. Thank You! Go Burins!!

Mr. Zabel was my homeroom teacher in 7th grade in the 70s and I have NEVER forgotten him. He was kind, encouraging, and believed in me at a very difficult time in my life. Because of him I remember 7th and 8th grade as the happiest time in all my K-12 years. I am sorry I didn't reach out to him to tell him this before he was gone. What a special person.
