Zeman, Robert J., Sr. Passed away peacefully, April 6, 2012, at age 90, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Seflow) for 63 years. Loving father of Kathryn (Bruce) Eimermann, Judith (James) Lomas, Robert Jr., Teresa (Keith) Grosskreutz. He will also be forever remembered by his eight grandchildren; Amy and Kyle Eimermann, Laura (Jason) Denham, Kristen Lomas, Anthony Lomas, Jamie (Paul) Gensler, Justin and Jason Grosskreutz. Adoring great-grandfather of Cameron, Mackenzie and Brayden Gensler, Haley and Connor Denham. Further survived by his sister Sylvia (Robert) Trednic, sister-in-law Pauline Zeman and brother-in-law DeVere (Corinne) Seflow. Preceded in death by his parents John and Antonia Zeman, sister Mary (Siegfried) Kulbacki and brother Frank Zeman. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and by his "BEST DOG IN THE WORLD; Rosie" Bob attended West Division H.S. He proudly served his country as a member of the Army Air Corps in WWII. After returning, he served his Tool & Die apprenticeship at Ace Tool and Die Co. In 1966 he founded R.J. Zeman Tool and Die. Bob was very proud of his employees. He always said "THEY'RE THE BEST!" His happiest moments and the highlight of his day was making his daily "ROUNDS" through his shop which continued long after his retirement, until recently when his health began to fail. Bob's other real passion in life was restoring cars with his son Bob Jr. Their current project is a 1929 Model A Ford, that will be completed in his honor. His other interests were bowling, home remodeling, spending time with family and friends, often hosting parties at home. Bob lost his courageous battle with heart disease. A special thanks to Dr. Singh and Dr. Cleary for their care and support. Bob was a kind and generous man who will be remembered as a respected business owner and for his sense of humor. But most of all, a devoted husband, a gentle loving father and an amazing grandfather and great grandfather; who centered his life on his family and faith. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Bob's favorite charities St. Vincent de Paul Society and Humane Animal Welfare Society "HAWS". Please join us in the celebration of his life on Thursday, April 12, at the Funeral Home from 4 PM until the time of a prayer service at 7 PM, and again Friday, April 13, at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Hwy 83, North Lake, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
