Zettel, Robert Mark Born to Eternal Life June 28, 2006 at age 83. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen Jean (nee Tucker). Caring father of Anne (Thomas) Bourbonnais, Cecelia, Mark, Jean, Phil, John, Paul (Eileen Asbell), Matthew, Peter (Tina). Also lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren Pablo III (Danelle), Alphonso, Matthew, Michael, Katie, Sean, Christina, Lauren, Lindsey, Lianne, Lexie, one great-grandchild Pablo IV, and sister-in-law Beatrice Zettel. Robert was born in Maplewood, WI; graduated from Algoma High School, served in WWII and met Helen at the Interracial Club while attending Marquette University. He received a B.S. in Bus. Ad., a Masters of Education from Marquette, and a certificate of Counseling from NYU. Robert was an educator and Director of Guidance at North Division High School for 29 years. He was also an instructor of Labor Relations courses at MATC and a trustee of St. Michael's Parish. Bob was an avid rose gardener and doting grandfather. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, July 10 from 4 to 8 PM. Church Visitation Tuesday, July 11 at St. Michael's Parish (1445 N. 24th) from 9 to 10:30 AM. Words of remembrance will be shared from 10:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Memorials to St. Michael's Parish appreciated. Robert's wonderful laugh and personal persistence in all his commitments to family, church, neighborhood and education will be dearly missed but never forgotten. I am a North Division High School grad, class of 1964. I have very fond memories of Mr. Zettel and can visualize him in the classroom and halls. He was soft-spoken and well respected. My sincere sympathy to the entire Zettel family.
