Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My condolences to the family. I played in a couple of bands with Bob. He was a great bass player and a funny guy with a great sense of humor. I'll never forget the time a dress code was instituted in the band City Brass, where all band members were required to wear some combination of black and white. Bob didn't care for the idea but went along with it anyway. So at the next gig, in true Bob Zivney style, he showed-up wearing a basketball referee's uniform...

An accomplished musician and a cool individual. May he rest in peace.

Bob & I knew each other extremely well for 50 years -& in these recent 12 years we became even closer. We stayed in touch with each other every day, "multiple times daily." This is such a sudden & tragic loss, "a most serious emptiness" - & will continue as extremely hard to accept or keep dealing with -for as long as I live.

We played Basketball together in my early adulthood. God bless you and your family. You are missed.
