Dear Ida and kids, I had the honor of working with Bob in the 1990's at Spalding. His insight to how to be a great dad and international business man taught me a lot about setting your priorities. I now live in Ghana as a missionary and his insight and wisdom I often reflect upon. The Spalding "family" is special and our prayers are with Ida and the kids. God Bless, Chuck Heidenreich, Ghana West Africa

I knew Bob during the 80's in Shanghai, China. By the time I arrived in Shanghai in 1985, Bob was already an established Shanghailander He was very kind to me as a newcomer and I enjoyed his friendship. I was sad to see him leave Shanghai in 1988 . I last saw Bob at the Portman Shanghai Long Bar during the mid-late 90's when he worked for Spalding.
He was a wonderful man, with a dry wit and a deep love for his wife and children. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Bob was a good friend of the World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts, someone we frequently turned to for advice about programs on business and Asia. I was always delighted to get an email from him saying, "Count me in!" for one of our events. I miss him already.

My condolence to Bob's family. May the almighty bless his soul and give peace! I knew him since 2002 as I have been working with business partners of Spalding in Indonesia! Bob was always very cooperative, loved to share ideas when ever we met. He was always cheerful and we in Indonesia will miss him!
