Holman Funeral Home Obituary

Dr. Zumstein was born on May 28, 1933 and passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Dr. Zumstein was a resident of Alabama at the time of passing. A graduate of Wartburg's Central High School, he attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, on a football scholarship. Funeral services for Dr. Zumstein will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 25, 2019, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Chad Ingle officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Dr. Zumstein was born on May 28, 1933 in Wartburg, Tennessee to the late Clarence Fredrick Zumstein and Violet Rosina Heidel Zumstein. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Ariton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 183, Ariton, Alabama 36311; or to Ariton High School Athletics, P.O. Box 172, Ariton, Alabama 36311.

My family and I were blessed to have Dr. Bob for our family physician. He was not only our doctor, but a neighbor and friend. We were his neighbors during my early years and I can remember him dropping by our house some nights on his way home from work. My Mom always had a piece of her pound cake saved for him.
