Roberta E. "Birdie" Bach, 87, of Mt. Bethel, PA, passed away Monday, May 26th.

Birdie was born in East Stroudsburg, PA, on October 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Victor and Helen (Lee) Hoehne.

She was the wife of John Bach. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last November.

Birdie was employed as a manager for the former Commonwealth Telephone Co. in Bangor, PA, until retiring.

In addition to her husband John, Birdie is survived by two daughters, Betsy Germain, wife of Bart, and Mary Beth Sicina, wife of Ray, a sister, Victoria Schwanda, wife of Henry, six grandchildren: Rebecca Rodriguez, Nathan Dally, Jessica Sicina, Scott Sicina, Bart Germain Jr, Jeannine Germain, several great grandchildren, and two nieces, Tanya Schwanda and Sonya Hubert. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Suzanne O'Donnell, and a sister-in-law, Mary Charlotte Bach.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 2nd at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 1 to 2 PM on Monday, June 2nd, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Mt. Bethel, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monroe County Historical Association, 900 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
