I just finished reading her book, From Flour Sacks to Satin. It is such a great book. As the librarian at Rio Vista High School, I will encourage others to read it, too. I am saddened to see that she has passed, but so thankful she left us a piece of her life through her writings. My condolences to the family.

It's difficult to lose a mother at any age. Your family was blessed to have had her presence for the years she lived. She was a very gentle, kind, and talented woman who always seemed to have a smile on her face. I admired her. May God comfort you and be with you in the days ahead.

Mrs. Bowman was a great woman. She was our neighbor in Haltom City for many years. We have several pieces of her paintings, a poetry book, and her autobiography. She had a interesting life full of challenges. I am honored to have known her. So sorry for her family's loss. Jeanie and Bill Tyree

What a long and wonderful life she must have led with the production of such great children and from them her precious grand children.. She got to see them all and you got to share your lives with her. Celebrate those experiences throughout your days.. My sincere condolences.
