CORDON, Roberta Larsen Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2004 at age 72. She was born on February 5, 1931 in Driggs, ID, to Alfred LeVoy Larsen and Sarah Naomi Sorensen. She married Dr. Nolan R. Cordon on August 13, 1952 in the Idaho Falls Idaho LDS temple. Roberta attended the Idaho State College where she graduated with high honors with a degree in English Education. Roberta was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in and headed up various women's and young women's organizations, and taught others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the last 18 months of her life Roberta valiantly served a mission for the LDS Church on the East Coast of the United States. Roberta was an elegant woman who loved family, home, friends, literature, and, above all, service to others. She was an inspiration to her friends and family, who will miss her independent spirit and her unwavering commitment to righteousness. Survived by her loving husband Nolan; daughters Shelly (David D.) Teuscher, Salt Lake City, UT; Megan (James) Bakaitis, Lexington, IL; sons Scot, Salt Lake City, UT; Derek (Bonnie Hillam), Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren Sarah Teuscher; Nikki and Tayce Crocker; Nolan, Tanner, Heather and Dallin Cordon; and Rachael, Chelsea, Benjamin and Aaron Bakaitis; and sister Donna Ruth (Eldon W.) Douglass, Idaho Falls, ID; and countless friends. Preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Petaluma LDS Chapel, 745 North Webster, Petaluma. Friends may call at 10:30 a.m. Internment, Driggs, ID.
