Not sure what to say?

Lew and I often think of Bobbie. It is hard to believe it has been 15 years. I am sure that her kids have seen many happy events during that time, but that they were not complete without their mother there.

Missing you, Bobbi---your enigmatic smile; your effervescent spirit; your all-encompassing love. Shalom, dear friend.

The King Family ,
It has been 9 long months since you have lost your Mother, and I have lost my friend . There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her and smile .....Although I am sure the pain is still very fresh in your minds , take comfort in knowing how much people loved and respected her . She was a wonderful friend ,and every time I hear her name, and it is often, I ache for all of you .
Every time I see a doll I know she would have liked she is in my...

Dear Dr. King and family -- I was stunned and horrified to learn it was your Mom that was killed in the senseless massacre in Binghamton. My heart goes out to you and your family. She was a beautiful, wonderful, caring person and everyone loved her. She will be remembered in my prayers. Millie Huntley, California

Dear Dr. King;

I believe that I may be a distant cousin of your wife, who I never met. At the the moment i am seeking to contact your brother-in-law, Dr. Joel Badaines of Australia. My name is Peter Allen, son of Dr. Harriet (Herbits) Allen, granddaughter of Ellen Herwitz who was Bobbie's grand Aunt and Aunt of her father, Dr. Nathaniel Badines, who was a graducate of Williams College and later a Director of the VA medicial Center in Sycracuse NY. Thank you and may your wife rest...

Dear King family,
I knew Bobbie when we were both members of Broome County Doll Club. Bobbie was one of the most delightful speakers in the club. Her programs were a wonderful treat. She had a great sense of humor and used to joke about her tendency to be late. When the club had pot luck dinners, Bobbie always brought dessert and joked that by the time she got there it would be time for dessert. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know her.

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Roberta's hard work and dedication to family and community will live forever in the hearts and minds of the many people her life touched. As a fellow teacher and a graduate of SUNY-Binghamton 20 years ago, I felt moved to write to you and offer my prayers.

I am so sorry for your lost. Mrs. King was a great women! I loved alway seeing the dolls in MacArthur library. I am sorry again.

I am deeply saddened by the recent loss of Mrs. King. I worked with her in Windsor for many years with students of special needs. She was always the best medicine whenever she came through the door. One could never think of Mrs. King without a smile coming across the face. It is in this way that I will forever remember her compassion and great gift of humor. She truly was a very remarkable woman with whom I shared some of my best memories at Windsor. You, and she, will all remain in my...
