Miss Ewing was my music teacher at Schnee school 1964-68. I have never forgotten her. She was so encouraging and kind. But aside from her Music lessons, she described a life lesson I have carried with me to this day. As I remember, she lost the love of her life, she was planning to marry. She taught us to always say "I love you" and "Be careful" instead of saying goodbye.

I was a student of Roberta at Schnee Elementary School. I am truly sorry for your loss. Roberta was an amazing teacher and human being. She was a gift for everyone that was blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers for her family and friends. What a blessing she was for all who were fortunate to have known her. May God Bless.

She was extraordinary in every way possible. Not only did she develop a lifelong love of music, she loved and nurtured us all. She taught us to work hard and to think beyond the obvious. I still have music scores she used in our performances.
Interestingly enough, I just relocated her and “friended” her on FB. My...
