Roberta McDonald

I first met Mrs. McDonald while she was a secretary at Central school. I remember her as the one that gave hugs when they were needed and a stern eye when called for. She even let me pull the bell rope once to bring kids in from recess. What a thrill that was for a youngster! It was years before I realized that she was a good friend of my folks through church. She always remembered our names even if we hadn't seen her for years after leaving home and she would always take time to get...

Roberta was one of those special women that one never forgets. I taught at Longfellow during her years there. She shared so much with us, ..her wisdom, laughter, recipes, her home and more. May she rest eternally in peace.
