Although I never had the pleasure of having Ms. Parson as my teacher, I always hoped I would. She had a smile that lit up the halls at West High. My sincerest condolences to her family during this most difficult time. E.G. - WHS Class of 2001

I'm saddened to hear about Roberta's passing. Roberta and I were classmates at Bakersfield HS- Class of 1964. Through her marriage to J, we would see each other once in awhile and the conversations always ended in a laugh or two. There was a certain "regal" quality about her that never changed over the years. She was beautiful inside and out and stayed true to herself. My sincere condolences to J and the entire Family for their/our loss.

Roberta and I were in the same classrooms from 4th grade on. I lived near her home. She and I were involved in student government in high school. Roberta was of good and solid character. She knew who she was, exuding confidence but at the same time had plenty of warmth and humor. She was a true friend.

I am so sad to hear about Roberta's passing. She was an amazing woman that raised some really great kids. I always looked forward to her coming into our classroom as a kid to teach us about Hanukkah or origami. She was always so warm whenever I would see her and I will truly miss her.
