ROGERS, Roberta – Of Grand Blanc, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her residence.


A private service will be held with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery.


Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.


Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.


In lieu of donations, please send flowers.


Roberta was born in Flint, Michigan on November 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Loberg) Walker. On October 22, 1955 she married Jimmie Rogers.


Roberta loved tending to her flowers, shopping on Amazon and an occasional trip to the casino. She was a good listener and most of all enjoyed her family.


Surviving are children, James (Vickie) Rogers, Kim (Doug) Warren, Jerry Rogers and Keri (Joe) Taverna;


grandchildren, Roberta and Amy, Kevin and Kurt, Jerry and Jennifer, Emily, Joey and Matthew;


21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild;


siblings, Gloria (Fred), Pat (Ed), Sue, Bill (Darlene), Tom (Lori) and Bonnie;


and sister-in-law, Mary (Charles).


She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Rogers; great-grandson, Carter; siblings, Kathryn and Bob; brothers-in-law, Rex, Steve, Tom, Jerry and Michael; sister-in-law, Virginia (Norman).

I am so very sorry that I have just learned of Roberta´s passing. She was a very special lady. I am grateful I was able to have a long-distance connection from Virginia.
