RUSSELL, Roberta S. - Of Burton, age 88, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Grand Blanc Rehab & Nursing Center. Funeral service will be held at 1:30PM Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor David Hintz officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to Central Church of the Nazarene. Visitation 3-8PM Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Roberta was born in Lamar, Colorado on October 5, 1920 and was a resident of Burton since 1944. She married Austin B. Russell on December 24, 1939 in Belding, Michigan. She was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are 2 daughters, Delia and husband Zeke Pizana of Lansing and Nancy Russell of Flint and daughters, Mica and Bridgette; grandchildren, Suzie and husband Bryan Hoel of Seattle and Jackie Monreal of San Antonio; great-granddaughter, Monique Monreal; sister, Madeline and husband Orville Harrington; several nieces and nephews.
