Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Roberta. She was a shining star in so many ways. I spent many hours in the STCC Book Store just talking with her about problems in the community and on the job. She was and will always be a great influence on me. May you Rest in Heaven Commissioner Smith.

Roberta, thank you for the good that you did for Springfield. As. Police officer(ret) I have at times worked with you personally, thanks for the experiences. May you Rest In Peace. Ray Phaneuf SPD Ret.

My deepest condolences to my co-worker Dove and her family. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Roberta's passing. She was probably the most pleasant Police Commissioner we every had. Always smiling and had a real concern for the police officers and the community. She was pleasure to be around. RIP Jerry Foley

I was sorry to read about the passing of Roberta she was very nice to me while she was on the Police Commission. May she Rest In Peace.

I'm very sorry to learn of Roberta's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. I sat next to Roberta in our criminal justice classes at STCC back when. She was a great supporter of the police and a friend throughout my career. We shared many stories from those days whenever we bumped into each other, they usually ended with a laugh or two. Her passion for her neighborhood and the City as a whole cannot be matched anytime soon. May she rest in peace until we meet again.

Had the pleasure of knowing Bertie when we worked at STCC. My condolences to her family for their devastating loss. R.I.P.
