Bertie was quite a lady. She inspired me to be a better person. She was never judgmental and always listened and gave great advice. My boys (Carter and Cooper) loved her and looked forward to sleepovers when they were young and coloring eggs. We used to say we were going to take the air out of the tires of her RV so she could not travel or go back to Lincoln. We loved visits with Gramma B and Cassie and will miss her terribly. All our love and condolences to the family.

The Sweetest lady EVER, our grandfather's were brothers....Met her for the first time in 2010 at our wonderful Koester Family Reunion organized by Jim and Elaine Koester! My husband Leonard and I were excited to see her once a year for a week during shuffleboard tournaments as she shared her home in Mesa with us for that week. Always so welcoming and friendly.
