Not sure what to say?

What can I say about Roberto. I just had a conversation with my kids about how Roberto touched me, looked out for me while at the Job Training Policy Council, mentored me, and inspired me. He always pushed school as a priority and his intellect, charm and wit was second to none. I didn't see him for years once I left JTPC but I thought and spoke of him often. In telling my kids my story of knowing Roberto, I could see they were impressed. I am a 17 year law enforcement officer today because...

El Jefe
It is strange to know that you are gone from this world with your wit and intellect. I joined you and Ruben Pacheco in 1975 in the Ventura County Manpower Programs, You were El Jefe. We three were all Vietnam combat veterans and so were part of the band of brothers who have seen war.Now there is only myself left of the three.
Loved your tales of the Brown Berets and La Raza of which you were a member at Moorpark College. The word Chicano took on new meanings even more than...

What can I say except that Roberto was the BEST Father In Law that any girl could ask for. He treated me like his own daughter. The relationship he had with all 3 of his boys was priceless!! Roberto you will be missed by us all. We love you.

My Deepest condolences to the family

My dear Nino...he was such an amazing man to look up to....a wonderful father and best friend to my Dad....to the De La Selva family may his memories comfort you...and god bless you all.

Thinking of the wonderful De La Selva Family. From the Lopez's...we love you and I think of you all often! Sending prayers, positive energy, and light your way.

To the De La Selva family, please accept my condolences. As my godfather, I'll remember his perpetual kindness and patient advice for me while growing up. The classic red, hardbound dictionary I received as a birthday present was a gift I appreciated and used often during my high school and college years. I believe my mother still has it in her library!

You are loved and will be greatly missed. Robert.

Luis, Sergio and Ivan, I truly feel your loss! Your dad was great! I especially loved our conversations. You always made him proud. You are his true legacy, the great men that you are!
Comadre, what can I say that has not already been said? I am as always, here for you! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! May his memory always keep you strong. ...Ana Maria
