Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Robin. He was a kind, smart and sensible man and he inspired and taught me a great deal. The FDNY and NYC are better places because of his work and dedication. Early in my career I spoke often with him on the phone. He had a great voice and one day I complimented him on it and he told me how he taped books for the blind. A truly remarkable man. May his family and friends find peace and comfort in their memories.

dearest Rena,
All our love goes to you from across the sea. We never will forget "your" Robin and his quiet strength and humour in difficult times.
Debbie, Ashley and ("my")Robin

We were friends and colleagues of Robin Burns, in architecture, the American Institute of Architects, and New York City government. Robin was always a gentleman and we held him in highest regards. Our sincere sympathy to his wife Rena and his family.

Mr. Robin Burns was a fine professional, always ready to give a good advice. He interviewed me at DDC, and I was employed in the summer of 1997 in his Fire Program Unit where he was then Program Director. He also advised me to take the Assistant Architect Civil Service exam, to become a permanent employee, which I did. I will always be thankful for his impartial support, and will remember him as a fine and caring individual. God bless his soul. Sincerely, Lilia Junco.

My best to your family, Robin. It was my pleasure working with you at DDC. You kept it all sane.

May he R.I.P and may GOD strengthen you at this sad time

Dear Rena and Family-
As a next door neighbor, I wish to extend my great sympathies. With a warm spirit and always a smile, Robin was truly a pleasure to encounter in an often cold city. I am sorry he has gone too soon, but may your memories of a good man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend provide some comfort. You were blessed, as was Robin.

Jerry and I had hoped Robin would be one of the miracles. We are so glad you shared many happy years together. You made a great team. We send our love. May his memory be for a blessing.
