Robin Herschel Crusenberry JAMES ISLAND - Robin Herschel Crusenberry, 41, of Charleston, died Friday, March 4, 2011. He was born in Charleston, the son of Carol Crusenberry and the late Harold Crusenberry. A graduate of Ft. Johnson High School, Robin's career was maintenance and heating and air, but due to the economic downturn, he found shell fishing, which he said was his calling. While on the water, he said he found the solitude and happiness that he had been looking for. And it was while he was doing his beloved job that he lost his life. His niece, Melissa Crusenberry Walker, will be naming her soon-to-be born son, Landon Robin Lee in honor of Robin. He is survived by his mother, a brother, David Crusenberry and his wife, Sharon, as well as several nephews and his niece. Robin is predeceased by his father and brother, Jeff. The relatives and friends of Robin H. Crusenberry are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway. The burial will be held privately. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Rd. Carol and family - on behalf of all at Pet Helpers, please accept our deepest sympthy in your tragic loss of Robin. He was such a loving and compassionate young man who helped foster animals in need for Pet Helpers. He so loved animals and he will be missed by so many. There is no understanding why this tragic accident happened, but please know you are in our prayers.

Carol, I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I am praying for you and the rest of your family during this sorrowful time. '...I [the Lord] am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and will carry you...' Isaiah 46:4.

Robin always had a kind spirit and I am glad to have been his friend. He was always pleasant to be around and was a person who makes you glad to have known him. God bless you, Robin and may your family find comfort in the Lord.

Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Thank God for good memories.

Growing up with you on Piccadilly are times that I will never forget. Rest in peace my friend.

The two things I will remember the most about Robin were his willingness to help others and his great sense of humor. Robin you were such a good friend to me and I will never forget all of the good times we had. Rest in peace.
