I first met Binnie in the summer of 1970 between junior and senior year of high school. Till then I don't think I had never met a woman possessed of such equal parts beauty, grace, and, well, something bordering on brutal honesty -- my first school-boy crush! Elegant and beautiful, yes, but Binnie suffered no fools and could take charge when she had to -- and, of course, she had to; the Tripp Rd house was a rambunctious place full of rowdy teens, Bob, Peter, and Cathy. I remember her as a very nice lady. I babysat the two Quist daughters many decades ago. My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I'm am just so sorry to hear this news. Binnie was always warm, loving, kind to myself when I'd see her over the years. This makes me so sad...one of the last of the "Old Stanford Gang"....but, what an awesome life Binnie lived. Job well done Binnie Quist Gates!
