We knew Robin when my husband Mike and I were also at USINT in Cuba. She had such a challenging job there. One time when I was going to Miami to pick up our boarding school son, she asked me to bring back a car battery. She assured me it would be delivered to my hotel room with no liquid in it and would be wrapped in clear plastic. So a 15 year old is pulling a battery on a rolling luggage cart through two airports. I worked with Robin when she was in African Affairs and in the Office of the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, and worked for her on UN peacekeepinvg. She was a smart, talented, dedicated woman. My deepest sympathy to her family.
