NIEMI, Robin Isaac-Allen - Age 31, our "Angel in Disguise", went to Heaven to join his father, Ron Niemi on Sunday, December 4, 2005. Rob most treasured his only son, Rian, and was devoted to his mother, Karen Niemi. Missing him terribly is his Love, Alicia Frank. Rob continues to bless others through the Gift of Life organ donations. In lieu of flowers, contributions toward Rob's funeral expenses may be donated at the West Flint Nazarene Church on Dye Road, through our compassionate Dr. David Bowser, who has been wonderful in helping us through this difficult time and will be officiating at the Celebration of Rob's Life and Music at 2PM Friday, December 9, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Interment in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 3-5 and 6-8PM Thursday and 1PM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Rob had his father's crazy sense of humor, kept us all laughing, was an awesome musician, fantastic gourmet cook and man of great faith and love for people. Although he apologized for his mistakes, Rob never apologized for his faith in Jesus and confidence in His Grace and Mercy. Rob was precious to his sisters, (who appreciate and share his musical talent), Jane (Steve) Wensko and children, Joshua Niemi (Jill), Jessica Niemi and April, Sam and Zachary Wensko, Jodi (Larry) Brown and children, Danielle, Rachael, Madison, Natalie and Andrew. Dear brother to Nathan (who shares his artistic talent) and Jake Niemi (his partner in music). Due to so many requests to hear Rob's music, you can access it at www.jakeniemi.com. Rob will also be missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins, who he sang and played guitar for at summer family gatherings. No words can say how much he will be missed by his "Almost like Brothers", friends from childhood in Mt. Morris and all his many other friends. Rob appreciated his Native American and Finnish Heritage and especially loved the family camp in the U.P. at Bootjack, visiting his Aunt Jan and cousins, Mike, Jen (Matt) and Liisi and just loved having the whole family together there. Rob will be missed by his Red Lobster "family", where he worked for 12 years and those he worked with at Mr. Brown's on Richfield Road. We want to express our appreciation to those from Red Lobster, who supported us at the hospital and for the great food, as well as to all those who have been helping us get through this time of loss. Special thanks to the emergency trauma team at Hurley Medical Center and those in the 5East Neuro ICU (thank you, Pattie and Lien) for all your efforts and loving care of Robin. We want to express our gratitude to Lisa Kirkey for her friendship to Rob and our family and her generous gift of a burial plot for him; also to Lomie and AnnaMae for their unconditional love to Rob and our family and for holding us up in prayer and being so helpful in many practical ways, even making meals during this stressful time. Most of all, we thank the Lord for giving us the comfort of the Holy Spirit to remind us that His Word promises "I will sustain you."
