Hernandez Funeral Home - Rosenberg Obituary

Robin Riner, of Damon, Texas, born September 21, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa to Floyd and Janette Gulling.

She married Ralph (Rusty) Spain and they had three children together. She later married Connie Riner.

She enjoyed dancing, fishing, traveling, watching movies and listening to old and new country music. One of her favorite artists was Elvis Presley. Her trip to Alaska and her cruises were among some of her favorite memories. She had a love of animals, of all sorts.

She was a hard worker, from the concrete business with her father and family, she waitressed, she was a CNA and then she found her calling as a dump truck driver. She was a small, but mighty woman and handled that dump truck like a breeze.

Her laugh was contagious and to all that knew her, knew what a special person she was.

Robin was called home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2024. She leaves behind her three children, Bobby Joe (BJ) Spain and wife, Melissa, Herbie Edward Spain and Tasha Lynn Spain, grandchildren Raven, Dawn and Ruth Lackey, Ruby and Gavin Spain, Olivia and Ethan Foraker and one great grandchild, Erick Alderete, Jr., her stepmom Joan Gulling, sisters Misty and Kelly Gulling, Joanna Cetinkaya, brother Dusty Gulling, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Dale Gulling, Sr., her mother Janette Miller, her brothers Floyd Dale Gulling, Jr. and Manuel Gulling, her sisters Jean Lyman and Kitty Engelhardt, her baby Michael (Mikey) Gulling, stepfather Orville Miller, nephews D.J. Gulling, Wayne Gulling and Robert Engelhardt, Jr.

Pallbearers will be B.J. Spain, Herbie Spain, Tasha Spain, Steven McIntire, Shawn McIntire, Jimmy McDaniel and Dylan Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at Hernandez Rosenberg Funeral Home Chapel, 800 4th Street, Rosenberg, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Guy Public Cemetery.
