As my brother Rex, unable to write this due to ill health, has asked me to share some of his memories of Silky.As friends from Stokes Valley in the 1960's who went to Taita College together, often cycling, from Stokes Valley, both shared an interest in mechanics. Things started to get serious in the early '70's when they both imported a V8 engine each. Silky a Chev of course and Rex a Ford. Silky's went into the yellow Vauxhall Victor.
