Not sure what to say?

Growing up as a fan of the KC Athletics, I didn't have much to brag about until Rocky came to town. He gave KC baseball fans a much-needed reason to cheer. I met Rocky in 1965, when I was 11 years old. He signed an autograph and told me to stay out of trouble. Now, 60 years later, it's still one of my best memories. It should be noted that the KC Royals led all of MLB in 1982 with a team batting average of .285 when Rocky was their batting coach. My sincere wishes for Divine comfort to be...

Rocky Colavito was my boyhood idol. I had #7 and played for the Tigers in Little League. What a thrill to see him play. Condolences to his family. He should be in the Hall of Fame. RIP!

My condolences.

I was born in Cleveland in 1950 and have followed the Indians/Guardians all my life. Rocky Colavito was my boyhood hero, as he was for so many young fans. When he was traded for Harvey Kuenn I was crushed. He will always be my hero. Rest in peace, Rocky. You gave us so many thrills and so much love. I can still see you at the plate with the bat behind your back, twisting to get loose. My condolences to Rocky´s family. As we said in Cleveland so many times, "Don´t knock the...

When he played for the Detroit Tigers, I had a huge crush on him. I was 11years old & I thought he was the BEST player on the team. He is the reason I started following baseball. He was the Greatest in my book. My deepest sympathy to his family. R.I.P.

RIP Ricky Colavito. My deepest condolences to your family and friends at this difficult time. You were one of best ball players to ever wear a Cleveland Indians uniform. I remember when you would have the kids stand in line for an autograph. Needless to say I have one. You will be missed. You belong in the Hall of Fame.

I was a member of the Cleveland Basebelles in 1966. The group had a dinner behind the fence, where I met him and his wife. We sat at the same table. I got his and other players´ autographs, while watching batting practice. He was a favorite of mine and will be greatly missed!

I remember attending a Cleveland doubleheader, when Sam McDowell was put at second base and Rocky pitched. and struck out the batter and they both went back to their positions It had to be around 1965 and in the second game Rocky hit grand slam against Don McMahon who later became as pitching coach for Cleveland.
