Not sure what to say?

tammye, just found out about Rod--I'd been thinking of contacting him for years, but procrastinated. Just found out last night of his passing. Rod was my little brother in TEP at Hopkins--I fondly remember him as intelligent, unpretentious, openly honest and a truly delightful person.
When I last saw him, he had come out to CO and tried some skiing--as I remember it, his friends took up to the top of the hill and he had to ski his way down, with no lessons, just brief instructions..being...

Tammy and family. We will cherish and honor Rod's long term comittment to RUPP arena and Commonwealth first aid stations. He will stand out in our memory and tradition in serving the public for years to come. God bless you and all your family in this tough time and the years to follow.

Dear Tammye:

My deepest sympathy to you and your family at this most difficult time. Rod adored his family and was always anxious to talk about you and the children. You all gave him much happiness.

I worked in the Surgery Residents Office during Rod's Internship and Residency. He was always so nice to me. After he commenced his practice he would sometimes call me and would always come by the General Surgery office and visit when he returned to UK.

When Rod...

Tammye,
I apologize for the impersonal nature of this e-mail note, but don't have any other address.I'm terribly sorry to hear of Rod's premature death. I was a UK faculty member during Rod's medical school and residency years, in addition to being a fellow ST X alumnus. He was an integral part of the Corbin medical scene, a valuable member of the surgical community, and he will be greatly missed by patients, friends, and colleagues. Our prayers are with you and your family.

You will be greatly missed as a professional and sadly missed as a friend.

We've lost a very dear friend. Indeed he fought his battle courageously. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family. Take comfort in those wonderful memories.

I was a patient and a co-worker of Dr. Weisert's. I worked in the ER at BRMC and saw him on an almost daily basis. He was constantly walking off with our stethescopes after doing a surgery consult. I moved away in 2000 but knew he had been fighting this battle for some time now.
He's such a talented surgeon and has been missed for a while.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.

Rod and I first worked together at St. Anthony Hospital the summer between his college and medical school. In 1981, I started working at Rupp Arena and Commonwealth Stadium in the First Aid Station with Rod. He was a good friend and will be missed.
I am so sorry the dreaded disease took him away. Prayers and blessings to the family.
