New London - With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Rodney-Allen D'Shiron Powell, age 51, Thursday, June 26, 2025.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26, at Walls Clarke AME Zion Church located at 16 Belden Street, New London. Calling hours are from 11:30 a.m. to noon with the memorial service to follow. To honor Rodney's love for superheroes, attendees are encouraged to wear DC or Marvel shirts in his memory. In lieu of flowers or food, the family kindly requests cards with memories and condolences be sent to P.O. Box 1153, Waterford, CT 06385.
