While traveling in the northwest, I just found out and was shocked that Rodney Cook passed away. Remembered his signs with RC hand-shape for the name-calling. He loved to wear his Air Jordan basketball shoes. On and off the field will never be forgotten. He was very competitive, athletic, and star. And, he had always smile and laughed at the tease. He loved to show and get everyone's attention to his expert to moonwalk and dance when he was around. He was truly one of the greatest...

I m miss Rodney Cook. I have met Rodney´s student at FSDB. I was always brighter when Rodney always bother to make laughs, jokes with me. Wishing your family, peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in your heart

Rodney always had a warm smile and made everyone feel at ease. I first met him 16 years ago, he helped a friend and me learn to sign "You are my Sunshine " for a church retreat. He was very imaginative and inspirational. Our paths crossed again with the birth of his second son. He was such a natural playing and caring for his son. My heartaches at learning of his passing. Holding Jennifer, Khenan and his whole family in God´s light for peace at this unbelievable loss.

I grew up at Florida School for the Deaf (`81-87) WITH Rodney Cook in some of my classes - he was the nicest guy all around. So sorry to hear about his passing!

I am so sad and will miss him dearly. I will always remember him with his sweet smile, great football, teasing me all the time to tickle me, cheer me up when every time he see me with my sad face. He's such a good guy! Bless him in rest & his families & friends.

I was one of Rodney´s teachers at FSDB. My day was always brighter when Rodney entered my classroom. Wishing your family, peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Rodney was my neighbor when he 1st moved to Gainesville. We used to fill a legal pad within days communicating because I knew little sign I will forever remember his smile.
