I first met Rod on June 1, 1970 at 8:15am, recalling that specifically should speak volumes. Rod was my second boss at Union Carbide & remained a good friend for years after. Actually, Rod was my first mentor in accounting out at the Carbon. He taught me a lot about business and the game of hearts and would never tell me how his hooey stick worked.
