So sorry to hear about Rod's passing, but am glad our paths crossed and he had such a full life. We were roommates at the Academy for two semesters and Rod was proud of being the only "dirt major" (Civil Engineering) in our squadron. He excelled at everything he did at the Zoo, except dating, which he finally got right with Alice. We reconnected at Castle AFB when Rod was going through B-52 training while I was doing KC-135 school and we had good times there. Gibby was a class act and...

Rod was a great friend throughout our days at the Academy, always a pleasure to be around. R.I.P., my friend, until we meet again.

On behalf of the entire graduating class of 1974 from the USAF Academy, I'd like to extend our deepest condolences to his family on Rod's passing. Reading his obituary, it is certainly clear that he lead a dedicated and blessed life serving his God, country, and family.
