2014 - Rod, Dad and a friend

A little belated, but sending condolences and happy memories of Rod for many years. He has a special place in my heart as a good neighbor and friend to my father, Jim King. They had a wonderful friendship which spanned decades. Rod was indeed one in a million, a gentleman through and through. - Victoria King Heinecke

Sending condolences! I met Mr. Grambeau, when he was visiting with my dad who is mentioned in this article (https://nirsa.net/nirsa/2018/09/07/rod-grambeau-in-memoriam/) . I found the article with google while searching for my dad's name. He thought the world of Rod and he too has passed on. It was a great era in Rec Sports...kudos to the giants who have gone before!

To family and friends, my deepest sympathies, for the loss of your dearly beloved one. May it bring comfort and hope, in knowing God knows your pain, that he cares for you. Thus he is with you now, he is with you through the difficult days ahead, and always. 1 Peter 5:6,7

Becky, Mary, & Doug,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Father. My sincere condolences to each of you and your family. I cherish the memories of Hill Street.

Rodney was always a delight at the Chelsea Retirement Community with his good nature and repartee.

What a marvelous family and what a life! Rod G. touched so many lives, and could he ever play paddleball! Here's to all the love and memories he created. You can make wonderful friends and affect so many folks in athletics, and Rod's family tree extends all over the world. Bravo to you all for this remembrance and the love and times you shared.

Rod was my first staff friend and mentor when I arrived at U-M in 1957 to pursue a grad degree in physical education. We remained connected through the years as I became a teacher of the Rodlets and a local athletic director. I have NEVER met a finer person...PERIOD! Rest in peace, Rodfather.

Dear Doug,
I saw your Dad's obit in the A2 News. Oh, it is hard to lose one's parents!
Deepest sympathies to you, Patty and the Grambeau clan.
I hope the strength of family will give you comfort.
Kind regards,
Karen Wizgird
