I have been traveling and thought it would be an easy thing to google Rodney's phone number. I had no idea. Dear Patti and Pheadra, to you I send all of my love and condolences. Pheadra, your da always loved to talk about how when he would drop you off at school, you were plump with early morning tea. (I was there a number of times as well if you might remember). He would always speak of you with such grand love and pride. Patti, it was always your fault, but I think we both know the...

It is with great sadness I read of the loss of the "Bard of Armagh": Rodney, you taught me just how fine a line could be walked, and that rock and roll really can save your mortal soul. Your wisdom and spirit will always be with me. 'And Ulster's hills shall echo still, from Rathlin to Dromore, as we sing again the loyal strains of the Sash My Father Wore.'

Dear Patti and Pheadra,
All the old friends from Armagh and San Anselmo were sad to hear the news about Rodney. He was "a ball of "craic" and always full of cheer. He will be rockin it out among the stars.
I am sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Sincere condolences to you and your famlily.

Sad to hear of Rodney's demise.Sometime in the mid 1970's Rafferty and I chanced upon Rodney and Seamie on the overnight ferry boat between Belfast and Liverpool...All old cosmic buddies in crime in those times we naturally gravitated together. We compared our latest adventures".Wait'll you see this, Harry" says Rodney and proceeded to pull out a miniature record player from his bag. This was a real rarity in those pre- technology times when even cassette players were a fulsome choice. There...

I only recently heard about Rodney's passing. I worked at the Irish Rover when it first opened and had many spirited and interesting conversations with him. I am so saddened for his family and all of those who loved him. His spirit will be forever missed....

I have been out of town and just heard about Rodney. I met him through a friend 17 years ago and shared a few pints with him over the years. He always had a smile and some advice for me, which I will forever remember.
