My condolences to Rod's family. In seeing his name again, I recall the growing up days in Fortuna. I am reminded of December 7, 1941, when I ovserved him, and others, riding their bikes through the streets of town hawking the Humboldt Standard. They were hollering "Pearl Harbor bombed, read all about it." I am also especially reminded of the days at PL's main office. I was his relief while he was in the army during the Korean War.
