Not sure what to say?

Rod -- or "Platt"-- as we called him was a treasured ship aboard the USS Worden, then DLG-18, but later CLG-18. He was a brilliant electronic technician and close friend. Platt was a Gentle man as well as a gentleman and one of my life acquaintances who I wished to be more like. We'd call him woke, long before that word entered our lexicon. I was fortunate enough to visit him three times in Oregon years after we were both done with our Navy hitches. I know he rests in peace because he...

Rod was looking forward to his move here on the coast. I will miss him and the time we could have shared. I mourn passing with all his Family and Friends.

Such a person with a quiet voice, but loud in action. You blessed many people with the things that you have done and those actions will continue to bless through those you blessed. Love and will miss you brother.

To all of Rodney's family and friends, may I offer my condolences <3 Even though it has been years since I last saw him I have so many wonderful memories from my childhood that he is a part of. I still see some of the trees he has planted at our family home in Damascus. I love you Rodney! I will see you again one day, and we will laugh and sing and dance!

with love and light for you...

I love you and I miss you, Daddy.

RIP Rodney
