Rodney Wayne Romans, 67, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away at 3:40 AM, Friday, March 23rd, at Veteran's Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Rodney was born in Ohio County, IN on July 10, 1944, a son of the late Doris (Whitham) and Salem Romans. He attended school in Rising Sun and was a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Wayne received National Defense Service and Sharpshooter(Rifle) Medals. He worked for Ward's Manufacturing in Hamilton, OH. Wayne was also a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Wayne is survived by a daughter, Tammy Banks (Tony), of Dupont, IN; a sister, Charlene Fancher (Eldon), of Rising Sun, IN; 2 aunts, Verda Lee Caines of Mansfield, OH and Stella Bennett of Vevay, IN; by 6 grandchildren and by 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 nieces and by 2 nephews. Funeral Service at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, IN, at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 26th, with Pastor Mark Sams officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday 11 AM- 1 PM. at Markland Funeral Home. Interment at Rising Sun New Cemetery Rising Sun, IN. Family request donations to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
