As we went for a drive we drove by Rod's home on the small airport and had thoughts of him. He and Al had been friends in our youthful days. We remembered walking in the Tigard area door to door for Rod when he first ran for Washington Co. Commissioner. In the past few years our paths have not crossed. We wondered then about Rod and to then see the obituary posted. We have not met Kim but want to extend our condolences.

Rod and I were good friends, in the same grade, at Multnomah Grade School. Our birthdays were 4 days apart.
We enjoyed hanging out shooting baskets playing horse. His folks were like a second family for me during those grade school years. We lived down the street from them. I miss not keeping in better touch. I cherished the blessing of friendship with Rod.

I played doubles racquetball for years with Rod. He was upbeat and a good friend. He'll be missed.

I knew Rod at the University of Oregon. He was a fraternity brother of mine.I remember him fondly as a great guy who always had a smile on his face. Condolences to his wife and friends.
