I have some much I want to say but can't seem to put it into words. This was such a tragic shock for all of those who knew Rod. I have known Rod for 23 years and we were married for 15 of those. And although we were not able to stay married, we were able to stay close friends.
I know that he will always be up there watching over our girls.

I had the pleasure of working with Rod for a few years at Allied Waste. He was a favorite. We connected over our love of Rock and Roll and a good comedy. I loved his goofy impressions and caring heart. He never thought twice about talking with someone or lifting their spirit. The love and gratitude he had for his family, also, showed daily and he was highly thought of. At work he was the guy that wanted everyone safe, on and off the clock. A solid, rambunctious soul, always smiling and making others smile. Dependable, reliable, honest, a stereotypical straight shooter. He's a rare man who touched the hearts of everyone he knew, and I feel privileged to have been a small part of his life. He'll be sorely missed by his many friends and brothers in life, but most by those daughters whom he desperately loved and cherished. Ride with angels, my friend.
