Not sure what to say?

Mr. Rodney Savoy was an educator of the first order! I was scared of math and he made it fun and interesting. Consequently, I earned a "B+" in his Geometry class. I will always be thankful for his refreshing approach to teaching.

Mr. Savoy was my Geometry teacher at Suitland Senior High School in the 1976-1977 school year. He made a subject that very much intimidated me very much fun!!! I am now 60 and I still recall his jovial yet determined approach to teaching. In adulthood, I’ve found out that several of my friends had him as a teacher at Howard High School and they have the same fond memories of him as their teacher.

Irving, I am saddened to learn of the death of your brother. My daughter met you as a teacher at Northwestern. Several people have confused me with you. God be with you . Jerry Murrell

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God grant you strength in the difficult days ahead. I'm sure Rodney will truly be missed but he will remain in your hearts forever. Beulah. Daughter of the late William Henry Williams

Though we haven't seen much of the family in years, I will never forget how you helped me with my math at Coolidge High you were my saving grace. God bless your family.

Rest in Peace Mr. Savoy, thank you for your love and support.

A wonderful teacher who made learning fun with a ready smile. I did not like math, but needed to have the class AND pass it, so somehow I finagled my way into Mr. Savoy's Geometry class because I heard he was a good teacher... he was actually the best! I received a "B" ( yes, 40 years later, I still remember). Thank you Mr. Savoy, rest in paradise always, sir.
